Lila Danis will be facilitating this free virtual event, designed for all experience levels, on Monday, October 2nd from 6:30-7:30pm ET. This class will include somatic therapy (gentle movement to support the mind-body connection), breathwork (to calm and regulate the nervous system) and a guided meditation. The techniques used in this session all have scientific evidence supporting stress reduction, nervous system regulation in addition to many other benefits. This is an excellent opportunity to discover new wellness practices or reconnect with practices you already know.
This class will begin with a brief discussion about self-care techniques you can use during guided practices. You will be encouraged to participate in your Window of Tolerance (discussed at start of program) and listen to your body.
Cameras on will be encouraged, but not mandatory. Please do not participate in this class while you are doing any activities requiring your full attention (e.g. driving or cooking).
For this event you will need:
a device that connects to Zoom
a place you can practice gentle movement (standing or seated)* and be still (seated or lying down)*
any self-care/comfort items that may support you (e.g. pillows/blankets/water)
* if movement/practices are not accessible to you (for mobility or other reasons), you will be guided and encouraged to adjust or modify components to include visualization or alternative options
