The Winter Solstice is the shortest day and longest night of the year. It is a celebration of the rebirth of the Sun's active cycle. It can be a time for naming our visions and dreams that we have been incubating in the darkest part of the year. With the return of the active outward energy that the sun brings our personal seeds, plans and ideas can slowly begin to manifest.
This 3-hour program will be co-facilitated virtually over Zoom by Lila Danis and Mandy Brinkley. The workshop will use a variety of wellness techniques to support you in getting clear on intentions you would like to start manifesting during the months ahead. The primary wellness tools used in this program will be:
Gentle Mindful Movement (standing, seated or visualized)
Guided Rest with Sound
Breathwork (to help calm and balance the nervous system)
Guided Visual Imagery Meditation
Art-Based Creative Integration Practice
Time for Self-Reflection & Group Discussion
A break will be integrated into this workshop and participants are encouraged to care for themselves throughout the session. Both facilitators are certified in multiple health and wellness modalities to support a wide range of client needs.
For this program you will need: a device that connects to Zoom, a space where you can practice movement and be in stillness (seated or lying down), blank white paper (e.g. computer paper), black marker (e.g. Sharpie or Crayola), colourful art supplies (e.g. pencil crayons or markers), a pen/something to write on, water and comfortable clothing.
This workshop will encourage cameras to be on. A recording of facilitator-led portions will be made available if you are unable to attend live.
* if movement/practices are not accessible to you (for mobility or other reasons), you will be guided and encouraged to adjust or modify components to include visualization or alternative options
